The Millard Fillmore House-Museum
_______________________________________________________________________

This is a national landmark owned by the Aurora Historical Society. Millard Fillmore, our nations 13th president, began his law career in East Aurora and his influence on Western New York can still be seen today.

Fillmore built this house in 1825 for his bride, Abigail. It has been restored to the period by the Aurora Historical Society, and includes some original Fillmore furnishings.

The grounds of the Fillmore House include a rose garden and a period herb garden. A reproduction barn holds period tools, a sleigh and carriage.
