One side of this building houses the Marshville General Store, with tin ceiling,
fixtures and furnishings from the late 1800's. Of note is the store counter, which
came from Brown's Arcade in Dunnville, and the spice cabinet, from a general store
in Grimsby. The coffee dispensers came from a coffee store in Quebec City, and
at one time dispensed sixty blends. The
other side houses the Marshville News and Printery, featuring a Whitlock cylinder
press, circa 1898, on loan from Mackenzie Printery and Newspaper Museum. Most
small community weekly newspapers were probably printed on a machine like this.
